The multi-translated, glorified and clichéd Caribbean beaches are becoming more accessible for all parts of society. Rich and poor. Are these dreamy beaches that we long for still too far to reach? Also, how would this poster series look if located on the other side of the world? In Scandinavia we seem to have a collective dream of the paradise beach.
Below; at a train station, in a lower-class area of Copenhagen, I created a series of posters that fitted the traditional commercial poster frames already at the station. The posters represented photographed paintings that again represented travel magazines. In several other series, I have worked with the idea of translating one medium into another to see how it affects the message.
