My mission with the show The Cult of Oxytocin was to hail the Goddess of Oxytocin - the love hormone we as humans inherited from our ancestors. Concurrently offering a zoom into the eternal battle between Oxytocin and the survival hormone Adrenaline, this show also suggested indulgence in the rush of love. Ultimately my work here served as guides for the visitor to regain control over these forces. An instrumental art experience, if you will.

The show occupied the entire house of Saint Nicholas church dating back to the 13th century where my ideas unfold via several mediums. I created a series of large scale Dream Gradient paintings and composed a sci-fi Oxytocin meditation with projectors in the church ceiling. I made a series of huge woven wool carpets and created sculptures in AR and polyamide. Next to this I have designed an engaging NFT you could redeem only if you set foot in “The Cult of Oxytocin” and went through my meditation in the church ceiling.
